It’s official. Vaginal weightlifting is a thing. Now don’t freak out. I know that initially, this will sound a little weird… It was for me at first too, but there is actually a reason to start making gains in your vaginal strength.

Just like you add weights to tone up other areas of your body, this is ultimately the same thing. It’s just a touch more intimate. It’s definitely not required for a healthy vagina and it’s not for Beginners either (Caution when trying it at home!), but let’s take a look at why it became such a thing.

Here’s what you need to know!

#1. Kim Anami is a vaginal weightlifting queen on social media. She lifts fruit, instruments and even a surfboard…

Kim Anami is a holistic sex coach and the most well-known vaginal weightlifter in the world. She even created the hashtag #thingsiliftwithmyvagina so you can follow her weightlifting journey. While it may seem a strange thing to publicize, she has over 97.5k followers, so it’s clearly a popular activity. At least to watch. Check out how strong her vagina muscles are on her Instagram account.

#2. Vaginal weightlifting can help you have more intense orgasms. Orgasms so good, you might even ejaculate.

In fact, they can help create orgasms that alter your mind, body, and spirit according to Anami. She says they will be longer, deeper and might even help you ejaculate! Squirting anyone? The strength of our orgasms comes down to the strength of the walls of the vagina.

The stronger the wall, the more sensitive it is and the more pleasure you will experience. Yes!

#3. Beyond sexual satisfaction, vaginal weightlifting can also ease issues of incontinence.

The pelvic floor in an interconnected web of muscles that keep the vagina, bladder, and rectum in place. So, pelvic floor health is not only important for your sexual pleasure. It’s essential to your general well-being too. Maintaining strong muscles will help your pelvic floor function and cut your risk of prolapse or incontinence.

#4. It can help you produce more natural lubrication.

There are many things that can affect our natural lubrication levels. While hormones and arousal both play a part, poor blood flow to the vagina is generally ignored. This can affect your lubrication level even when you are aroused. But a strong vaginal wall can help increase the blood flow and circulation to the vaginal canal. Basically, ladies, this is how to become wetter, faster.

#5. Tatyana Kozhevnikova holds the Guinness World Record for vaginal weightlifting. She did a 31-pound lift!

But, please don’t try this at home ladies. Like any other muscle in your body, you can hurt yourself if you go too hard. Start small and work your way up as your pelvic floor gets stronger. Like sex, your vaginal health should be a marathon, not a sprint. But long-term, this is vagina goals right ladies?

#6. It can increase your sexual life energy making you look and feel more attractive.

Vaginal weightlifting can actually bring your sexual energy into all aspects of your life. When our vaginal pleasure is lacking in some way, it is easy to disconnect from your sexual energy. But, a lack of sexual energy can create issues in other areas too.

It can cause intimacy issues and even affect our confidence in our appearance. It is certainly the case for me. So, if you are struggling with your confidence or feel your energy levels have dropped, it may be time to give this a try.

# 7. It can tone your whole body including your face. Goodbye Botox.

According to Anami, pulling up the pelvic floor muscles creates an energetic lift through your entire body. And yes ladies, it includes your face too. She suggests that pulling up these muscles can help to tone your whole body and face. Sounds like it might be time to say goodbye to fillers and Botox and let those vaginal lifts do the work for you. It’s considerably cheaper too!

#8. Be able to shoot ping pong balls – just like you always wanted to!

Regardless of whether you actually want to be able to do it or not, just knowing that you can, would still be pretty cool right? Super tight, strong and controlled pelvic floor muscles are required to shoot a ping pong ball across the room from your vagina.

That means that weightlifting can definitely help you get there. But don’t be disappointed if you can’t do this. It’s a fun trick but it’s certainly not the only indicator of vaginal strength.

#9. Vaginal weightlifting can work wonders on your libido.

You have all likely experienced a phase in your life where your libido started to wane right? In fact, in some cases, it might have disappeared completely. Now think back to that time. Was the sex a little lackluster? Were you starting to feel unsatisfied with the whole thing?

When we aren’t feeling satisfied sexually, our libidos start to disappear quick. But, by heightening your vaginal sensitivity you can amp up your pleasure and get back in the game.

#10. It can even help you protect your body during childbirth and help you bounce back afterward.

We know about the benefits of a toned vagina to help your body bounce back after childbirth, but did you know that it can also make childbirth easier? During childbirth, you actually need to be able to relax these muscles. That’s why using light weights and not overdoing the weightlifting is so important. Light exercises should help you be more in tune with the muscles giving you more control over relaxing them or tightening them.

#11. It shouldn’t be a competition. Use it to connect and heal your body.

You don’t need to dive in head first and start dangling pomegranates from your lady bits! Using a vaginal weightlifting jade egg is a great way to help connect your mind and body. Remember that you don’t need to use weights if you don’t want to.

Competition and large weight achievements are not the ultimate outcomes here. It is about strengthening and connecting with your sexual energy to become more in tune with your vagina. Take a look at this great guide by Mariah Freya about using Kegel exercises to connect your mind and body.

It’s important not to think of this solely as a workout. Use the time as a way to connect with your body. One of the most important parts of weight training is through mind-body connection so why not do that with your vagina too?
