#2 Create The Core Of Your Pleasure Wand

Let the crafting begin! Start by cutting a piece of coat hanger a few centimeters shorter than the final length of your dildo. The wire will act as a frame for the polymer clay, giving it more strength. Be sure to round off the ends of the wire with the metal file to avoid any nasty sharp edges.

#3 Build Up The Shaft

This is where things get juicy. It’s time to whip out the polymer clay! Any non-toxic brand will work so feel free to simply peruse your local craft store with a barely suppressed grin. The best I’ve found is Sculpey. They have a huge range of colors, including Caucasian skin tones and glow-in-the-dark clays. The possibilities are endless!

For a multicolored dildo, pick out one main color and one or two complementary colors. Begin by rolling the main-colored clay into three sausage shapes on your baking paper. Each should be about the length of your desired dildo but only 5mm thick.

Lay the three sausages in parallel so they’re touching along their lengths. Then place the coat hanger wire on top of the middle sausage and roll the clay around it.

Think of it as a sushi roll – the clay is the seaweed and the wire is the filling.

Keep rolling the whole thing against the baking paper with your palms so that the sausages meld together, encasing the wire.

#4 Get It Thick And Hard

Here, you’ll be bulking up the thickness of the shaft in layers. Continue rolling small sausages of your main color, laying them in parallel and rolling them gently but thoroughly onto the core of the dildo.

As the girth of the dildo increases, you’ll need to roll more small sausages at a time to reach around the whole thing. Round the ends as you go, running your hands over the whole shaft to make sure it’s smooth. Is it just me or is it getting hot in here?

If you want a smaller diameter, you’ll only need a few layers to achieve the perfect size.

If you prefer the feeling of being full and stretched, go ahead and bulk it up a bit. Whichever size you choose, in this step you’ll be making your dildo one layer thinner than you want the final diameter to be.

#5 Throw In Some Color
